This recipe is from The World of Jewish Cooking by Gil Marks. They are delicious with tea.
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp matzah meal
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
2 tsp grated orange zest (optional)
4 cups freshly ground walnuts (1 lb)
Confectioner's sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 large baking sheets.
2. Combine eggs, sugar, matzah meal, cinnamon, cloves, and zest. Stir in nuts.
3. Form the dough into 1-inch balls; flatten slightly.
4. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden. Let cool 10 minutes.
